special offer for london schools
Free “HOW TO VISIT A FARM” Training available for London school teachers.
Visiting a farm can be a memorable school journey which embeds learning about where our food grows and how we care for animals.
Farming and Countryside Education (FACE) can provide a two hour fun and informative training session for teachers who are interested in taking their class to visit a farm.
The CPD is designed to help teachers planning school trips to farms and will cover;
· Health and Safety
· Curriculum links
· Your closest farms
The CPD is available for groups of 10 teachers or more (either from one school or a network)
Schools need to provide a suitable classroom/training space. This course is fully funded for groups where at least two of the teachers come for schools with over 25% of pupils eligible for Free School Meals (i.e. highest in deprivation index, rather than infant schools where all pupils receive a free meal) Your school office will know if your school falls into this category. FACE is happy to run the training for one school or for a group of schools in a local area.
